Rhug Organic Farm Tours
Visitors to Rhug Estate will from the 1st June be able to enjoy a tour of this working organic farm in a specially built trailer 38-seat trailer. The tailor made trailer has been designed to enable wheel chair access. The tours will be run every day starting 10.00 am with the last tour leaving 16.30 pm and if organised parties or schools wish to book in advance they can do so through Rhug’s Estate Office 01490 413000.
Visitors to the farm shop will be able to buy a ticket as they climb on the trailer and these trips will run roughly every hour and take approximately 50 minutes. The cost of the tour will be £4.50 adults, £4.00 OAP’s and £2 for children and special family rates of £11.
This is an outing that will be something very special for the family, they will learn about the working of an organic farm; see the sheep, cattle, bison, and the arable crops. They will be able to see some of the work that has been carried out on the Estate to improve the environment and the natural habitat, tree plantings, new hedgerows, newly created green lanes, field margins and much more.
You will be taken on this tour in a comfortable tractor drawn trailer with an experienced guide and we are confident that everyone will find this most informative.
